Radlok Trolley Retention System
Each year national legislation changes and requires local councils to enforce environmental control on an ever-increasing basis. Most supermarkets are affected by trolley loss, and where local councils recover these from parks, rivers and housing estates environmental fines are often imposed.
Our solution to this problem is Radlok, our patented trolley retention system.
Utilizing a mechanical braking system and the installation of a pavement embedded boundary system, ITABuk can provide a low cost, low maintenance solution across a retailer’s entire estate.
Unlike expensive electronic and RF based forms of trolley retention systems, Radlok can be reset by store staff with minimal training and trolley fleets can be annually maintained by our installation partners. There are no electrical parts and installation can be applied to all trolley and castor types.
The system that triggers the Radlok wheel brake is embedded in various forms of paving and blocks, so that it blends with the entrance and car park specifications. With this unobtrusive design and application, it is important that appropriate signage and warnings are used at the demarcation points. Our solution includes these notices which can be formatted to our client’s specification.
